If you receive this type of error below :
Failed to start the game, cannot find essential information in the registry.
Configuration error: 0x0002
Configuration error: 0x0003
Here is how to fix it :
Open the game folder and double clicke "AssassinsCreed_Game" and it will work. I then create a ~ bad word ~ cut.
or
1) Right click the link to Assassin's Creed, select properties. 2) Don't change any of the link EXCEPT the file name. Change it from AssassinsCreedlauncher.exe to AssassinsCreedgame.exe
3) Apply and enjoy.
Simply linking to the game instead of the launcher (which finds updates) seems to fix the registry problem.

To update them or check for updates go to Control Panel > System > Hardware > Device Manager > Sounds, Video and Game Controllers > Right Click On Correct One Then Update Driver.
